March 26th & 27th | Cursive contest
We encourage all PPA students to participate in this exciting opportunity to showcase their best handwriting skills. Students may complete their final draft at home and submit it to their teacher anytime before March 26/27. Let’s celebrate penmanship together and continue honing those handwriting skills! Final contest pages need to be handed to your teacher.
Contest Rules:
Open to 1st/2nd grade and above! Each entry must be written on the provided template below. The Pledge of Allegience will be used for the handwriting sample for 1st/2nd through 3rd/4th and the PPA mission statement will be used for the handwriting sample for 4th/5th Grade and Above. The sample should be confined to one page of writing and can be written with either pen or pencil. The internal PPA judges will judge the entries submitted. They will score the cursive entries on legibility, neatness, shape, slant, spacing, size, spelling and accuracy. Entries will be judged by grade level.
On the front of the entry page the student needs to include age, grade and gender. On the back of the entry page the student’s full name; parent/student email and address should be written by the student, but proofread by an adult to make sure it's legible.
Below are the entry templates for 1st/2nd through 3rd/4th. (Please print two sided.)
Below is the entry template for 4th/5th Grade and Above. (Please print two sided.)

Core Virtue Book Drive
Our academy has traditionally relied on the local libraries to supply these books, as there has not been a designated budget for purchasing them directly. Over the last 2 years, we’ve noticed many libraries are no longer carrying some of our cherished Core Virtue books and Site Directors are having difficulties obtaining them for our Morning Gathering lesson.
We’re now asking families to help us build our collection!
If you have any of these books at home, or would like to purchase and donate a title from our Core Virtue Book List, we would be incredibly grateful. Every book helps preserve the heart of our program and enriches our students.
Please consider contributing from the lists below (This year we will work off of year 2 list):
You are welcome to drop off any book donations in the office or bring them to the Used Curriculum Sale, where we will have a donation bin set up.
Thank you for supporting our community and helping us preserve these treasured stories!
